Humanitarian mission performed by the Romanian Air Force

A Romanian Air Force C-27J Spartan aircraft configured for medevac missions will conduct a humanitarian missions on Sunday, 25th July, on route Otopeni Frankfurt - Otopeni, in order to airlift three patients with serious burn injuries. The patients will be treated at a hospital from Germany.

The mission is conducted at the request of State Secretary and Chief of Department for Emergency Situations from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Raed Arafat and following the approval of Defence Minister, Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca.

The medical team will be made of UPU-SMURD and MoND specialists. The aircraft will take off from the 90th Airlift Base on Sunday, after 8.00 a.m.

The journalists willing to take video images from the embarkment of the injured people will be expected between 7.45 and 8.00, at the entrance of 90th Airlift Base Otopeni (1 Zborului Street).
