On Wednesday, 20th October, at the MoND Headquarters, Defence Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca will meet with the US Secretary of Defence, Lloyd J. Austin III, who is on official visit to Romania.

The two dignitaries will talk about the security situation from the Black Sea area, the topics listed on the agenda of the NATO Defence Ministers' Reunion, which will take place in Brussels, as well as about the evolution of the military relations between Romania and the USA, in the context of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca and Lloyd J. Austin III will make press statements at the MoND headquarters, starting 10.15.

Journalists interested in attending the welcoming ceremony, which is scheduled to take place at 9.00, and the press statements that will be made at 10.15, are asked to send the accreditation details (name, surname, media organization they work for, ID serial number), including the type of equipment used to broadcast, at email address presamapn@mapn.ro until Tuesday, 19th October, 19.00.

The accredited mass-media representatives willing to attend both events (welcoming ceremony and press statements) will be expected on Wednesday, 20th October, between 8.00 and 8.30, at Post Control 3 (entrance near Marriott Hotel), with their ID and press badge as well as the individual sanitary protection material.

The accredited journalists willing to attend only the press conference will be expected between 9.15-9.45, at the same post control.
