Multinational naval exercise in the Black Sea

On Friday, 12th November, seven military ships belonging to the Romanian, American, Turkish and Ukrainian Naval Forces participated in a naval exercise which was conducted in the international waters of the Black Sea , in the open sea of the Romanian shoreline.

Marasesti Frigate (F-111), the USS Porter Destroyer (DDG-78), USS Mount Whitney Amphibious Command Ship (LCC-20) and USNS John Lenthall Replenishment Oiler (T-AO-189) of the Sixth Fleet of the USA, Frigate Yavuz (F-240) from Turkey, and the Ukrainian UKR Olefirenko Landing Ship (LSM-401) and UKR Sloviansk Patrol Vessel (PC-190) trained jointly to consolidate NATO's reaction capability in the Black Sea, by applying the Alliance SOPs for various crises situations and developing the interoperability level among the participating naval ships.

After finishing the training activities on sea, the US military ships will make a stopover in Constanta Harbor, over 12th-14th November, when the commandeer of the USA Sixth Fleet, Vice Admiral Eugene H.Black III is to meet Romanian military officials .
