Starting Today, November 26, 04 the command of the military actions performed by the MP Company participating to Antica Babilonia operation at An-Nassiriyah will be held by the Italian Colonel Paulo Nardone, commander of the Multinational Specialized Unit (MSU) who took all the responsibilities in Dhi Qar area of operations from Colonel Claudio D'Angelo. In Mittica camp there was organized the command handing over ceremony with the participation of officers from Italian, Romanian and Portuguese units subordinated to this unit and the commanders of the Romanian, Dutch and US units acting within the military base in Tallil.

Participants to this ceremony were Division General Michele Franze, commander of Carabinieri Specialized Mobile Division and Brigade General Enzo Stefanelli, commander of Friuli Aeromobile Brigade within which the MSU is subordinated to. The two Generals expressed their appreciation for the responsible manner and the abnegation the Romanian, Italian and Portuguese militaries proved in fulfilling their missions in the theater of operations in Iraq and the hope that the future actions will be developed in common for the maintenance of stability necessary for the democratic re-construction of Iraq.
