On Friday, 10 June, State Secretary for Defecne Policy, Planning and International Relations, Simona Cojocaru, received the visit of the British Minister for the Armed Forces, James Heappey, and of the Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Havrylov.

During the talks, the officials approached topics related to the security situation from the Black Sea Region in the context of the Russian Federation's brutal military aggression against Ukraine, emphasizing both the actions taken to manage the unprecedented number of Ukrainian refugees and the need to maintain a constant dialogue with a view of efficiently implementing the actions taken in support of Ukraine.

State Secretary Cojocaru assured the dignitaries of the full support for Ukraine's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity. The officials pointed out Romania's participation in the two editions of the International Donors Conference, organized by Great Britain, but also its presence within the Ukraine Defense Consultative Group established at the initiative of the United States of America.
