Minister of National Defence at the Ukraine Defense Consultative Group Meeting

On Wednesday, 15 June, Minister of National Defence, Vasile Dincu, participated in the Ukraine Defense Consultative Group Meeting held in Brussels, as part of the NATO Defence Ministers Meeting.

The reunion was a good opportunity to coordinate the military actions and assess the progresses made by almost 50 participating states.

The meeting agenda included current topics and assessments of the Ukraine conflict and the status of the military and humanitarian assistance provided by the participating countries.

In this context, the minister of national defence emphasized the importance of continuing the efforts made by the international community in order to support Ukraine, which is confronted with the Russian Federation's brutal aggression.

The Romanian official reiterated Romania's heavy involvement in support of the Ukrainian people defending their territory and the 1.1 million refugees who have entered the Romanian territory since the beginning of the conflict.

The defence minister pointed out our country's efforts made to facilitate the transport of the cereals from Ukraine in order to avoid the transformation of this security crisis into a global food one.
