On Wednesday, 15 June, Minister of National Defence, Vasile Dincu, had a bilateral meeting with his North Macedonian counterpart, Slavjanka Petrovska, as part of the NATO Defence Ministers Meeting, held in Brussels.

The meeting agenda of the two officials consisted in current topics listed on the NATO agenda, bilateral topics as well as ways of consolidating and enhancing defence cooperation relations.

At the same time, the two ministers emphasized the importance of continuing the common projects initiated within the regional formats the two countries are part of. Also, the officials approached the importance of the Western Balkans both within NATO and EU context as well as our country's support throughout the Republic of North Macedonia's accession process to the European Union.

At the end of the talks, ministers Dincu and Petrovska restated their reciprocal commitment to increasing defence cooperation both at bilateral and multinational levels by emphasizing the importance of consolidating the political-military dialogue.
