State Secretary for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations, Simona Cojocaru, received the visit of the delegation of the Committee for Defence Industry Policy from the Republic of Indonesia (Komite Kebijakan Industri Pertahanan KKIP) on Thursday, 28 July, at the MoND headquarters.

The central topic of the meeting was the identification of methods of cooperation at the technical-military level in order to consolidate the defence capabilities.

The visit to the MoND of the Indonesian delegation members was a good opportunity to discuss certain common interest topics related to the current status and the future bilateral cooperation in the context of the current global security environment.

The two parties expressed their hope to continue consultations on common interest topics with a view of increasing practical cooperation at bilateral level as well as the technical-military cooperation in order to consolidate the defence capabilities.

Also, the officials emphasized the importance of initiating negotiations on the draft of the Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on military cooperation, paper which will represent the foundation of the initiation and enhancement of the bilateral military relations.
