Defence Minister's meeting with his Israeli counterpart, at Tel Aviv

Minister of National Defence, Vasile Dincu, who is paying an official visit to Tel Aviv, had a meeting with his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Gantz, on Wednesday, 14 September.



During the bilateral relations, the two officials approached current topics listed on the current security agenda from the Middle East and the Black Sea regions, respectively the defence cooperation status and perspectives.



The Romanian official pointed out the steadiness of the bilateral relations, considering the fact that Israel is a strategic partner of Romania in the Middle East area.



I agreed with Minister Gantz that we enjoy a very good collaboration relation in the field of joint training which can be consolidated by approaching new fields such as research and development, including emerging and disruptive technologies, artificial intelligence and military medicine, Minister Vasile Dincu stated.



Also, the defence minister emphasized Israel's relevant experience regarding the entire society's resilience, considering the ever-complex challenges posed to the current security environment.



At the end of the meeting, the two dignitaries expressed their willingness to enhance the cooperation relations by identifying potential collaboration projects that could be developed in the field of defence, which refer to capability development and new technologies.
