The Chief of Defence Staff, General Daniel Petrescu, met with the Commanding General of the US Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR AF), General Darryl A. Williams, on Wednesday, 23 November, at the MoND Headquarters.

The talks of the two officials focused on the consolidation of the Allied defensive capacity on NATO's Eastern flank, the US forces' posture in Romania and the training of the Romanian and American soldiers by means of major training events.

The Commanding General of USAREUR-AF is paying an official visit to Romania, over 22-24 November, at the invitation of the Chief of Land Forces Staff.

The visit agenda also includes meetings at the HQ Multinational Corps South-East and the Land Forces Staff.
