On Thursday, 24 November, Minister of National Defence, Angel Tilvar, had a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Bucharest, Andrew Noble, at the MoND Headquarters.

The meeting agenda focused on topics referring to cooperation within NATO, with focus on the Allied decisions taken at the Madrid Summit as well as on the developments of the security situation, the support provided to Ukraine and on bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the Romanian party thanked the partner for Great Britain's commitment to the consolidation of the deterrence and defence posture on the Eastern flank and in the Black Sea region, by commending London's contribution to the Allied efforts and projects run in Romania.

Also, the officials appreciated the level of cooperation within the Strategic Partnership, which remains the foundation of the consolidation of bilateral relations between the two countries.
