National Military Parade in Bucharest and Military Ceremony at Alba Iulia to mark Romania's National Day 1st December

More than 1,500 soldiers and specialists of the Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Internal Affairs, The Romanian Intelligence Service, Special Telecommunications Service and National Administration of Penitentiaries and almost 120 technical means of equipment, 40 of which aircraft, will participate on Thursday, 1 December, starting 11.00, in the Military Parade organized to celebrate Romania's National Day in the Arch of Triumph Square.

150 foreign soldiers will also march off in the military parade as part of several detachments from Belgium, France, North Macedonia, Republic of Moldova, Portugal, United States of America and the Netherlands, alongside soldiers representing the Allied troop contributing countries to the NATO structures deployed on Romanian territory, as well as 25 technical means of equipment, including Canadian, Italian, Spanish and American fighters.

At the same time, a display of military equipment will be organized in the Arch of Triumph Square, which can be visited after the closure of the official ceremony.

Also, a military and religious wreath and funeral spray ceremony will be organized in Bucharest, starting 9.00, at the Unknown Soldier's Grave from Carol I Park, while at 19.00, soldiers of 30th Mihai Viteazul Guard Brigade will withdraw with torches on route National MIlitay Club Palace - Victoriei Avenue Palace of Parliament Cotroceni Palace brigade headquarters.

Also, on Thurdsday, 1 st December, the MoND Blood Transfusion Center Colonel Professor Doctor Nicolae Nestorescu organizes, from 8.00 to 12.00, a blood donation campaign, to meet the requirements of the patients who need transfusions and are hospitalized in the military and civilian hospitals. The military and civilian donors are expected at the Blood Transfusion Center headquarters from Plevnei Street no. 134 (within the precinct of Dr. Carol Davila Central Military Emergency Hospital, Bucharest).

Wreath and funeral spray laying ceremonies will be organized at the Big Unification Monument in the area of 1 Decembrie 1918 Avenue, in Alba Iulia garrison, starting 13.40, with the participation of more than 850 soldiers and specialists of the Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Administration of Penitentiaries, personnel of Unirii National Museum from Alba Iulia and Alba-Iulia Subsidiary of the Romanian Red Cross, and almost 60 ground technical means of equipment and military aircraft. A detachment of French soldiers from the NATO Battle Group deployed to Cincu will be part of the marching off unit.

On the occasion of Romania's National Day, 1st December, representatives of the Romanian Armed Force will participate, together with the local authorities, in the preparation and organization of personnel and equipment parades and military and religious wreath laying ceremonies in the garrisons where the military formations and units are deployed. Also, the National Flag will be hoisted in all military units throughout the country, and the Great Pavoaz will be raised onboard of maritime and riverine ships.

The military personnel assigned in missions in the theaters of operations as well as those deployed to Poland, will conduct military ceremonies and activities to mark Romania's National Day.

- Journalists accredited to the ceremony will only have pedestrian access on Thursday, 1 December, via Constantin Prezan Avenue (Charles de Gaulle Square), between 07.00 and 09.45.

- The access of mass-media representatives will be possible only with previous accreditation as well as their identity card and press badge.

For an efficient conduct of the official ceremony organized on the occasion of Romania's National Day, the Road Police Brigade Bucharest will take measures to ensure fluency of the traffic and will inform the drivers with respect to the existing road restrictions on the road trunks converging to the Arch of Triumph Square.
