On Friday, 20 January, a Ministry of National Defence delegation headed by minister Angel Tilvar participates in the first meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), held at Ramstein Air Base, from Germany.

The visit agenda will comprise multilateral talks alongside representatives from 50 countries and organizations on the conflict developments from Ukraine and ways of continuing providing international support to the Ukrainian partner.

The participation of the MoND delegation in the eight UDCG Meeting stands for a new proof of Romania's firm commitment in supporting Ukraine. Our country firmly condemned Russian Federation's unprovoked and illegal aggression against the Ukrainian people, especially the brutal and indiscriminatory attacks on the civilian infrastructure, the most recent such action being the tragic event occurred on 15 January 2023, which resulted in a great number of civilian casualties.
