Lieutenant Colonel Sorin Bacila, PR officer of the Romanian contingent in Iraq transmitted the following:

A military ceremony was organized at the end of the week, at ECHO camp near Ad Diwanuyah. During the ceremony six officers from the Center South Multinational Division received decorations for the way they fulfilled their missions.

Three Romanian officers are among them,i.e.: Colonel Florinel Damian from Center South Multinational Division command; Major Florentin Cucu, commander of Engineering Detachment Irak 3 and Captain Gabriel Negulescu from the same Detachment.

They received the bronze medal of the Polish Armed Forces ( the highest distinction awarded to the foreign soldiers) from the commander of the Center South Multinational Division, Major General Andrzej Ekiert.
