Participation of the Minister of National Defence in the Foreign Affairs Council Meeting (Defence)

Minister of National Defence, Angel Tîlvãr, will participate on Tuesday, November 14, in the Foreign Affairs Council Meeting (Defence) and in the Steering Committee Meeting of the European Defence Agency (EDA), which will take place in Brussels.

The main topic listed on the FAC Meeting’s agenda will be the support provided to Ukraine by the European Union. The talks will mainly focus on military assistance, including the training provided by the EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine).

Also, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy will brief on the latest developments regarding the current files.

At the same time, the FAC Meeting agenda includes a discussion session which will mainly focus on the resilience of critical infrastructures, which will be attended by NATO Secretary General.

During the EDA Steering Committee Meeting, the defence ministers will discuss and approve the new priorities in the field of capability development at EU level.
