General Badalan laureate of George C. Marshall-Romania Association

General Dr. Eugen Badalan, Chief of General Staff said during the 2004 George C. Marshall-Romania Association medal presentation ceremony, that he is confident in the fulfillment of the objectives for the force structures negotiated with the allies, the modernization of the military structures, the working proceedings and the military equipment. Badalan also mentioned that he is basing all of this on the most important resource of the Romanian Armed Forces the potential of people.

During the ceremony on Wednesday evening at the National Military Circle Palace, Chief of General Staff received Medal for 2004 for special merits in Euro-Atlantic and European integration of Romania.

In his appreciation remarks for the award, General Badalan said he is receiving this medal in the name of the Armed Forces staff, all the personnel of the Romanian Armed Forces and especially of the soldiers that last year were deployed in humanitarian missions, peacekeeping missions or combat ones against terrorism in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq.
