NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Italy (NRDC-ITA) conducted Exercise Eagle Overland 24 (EAOV24), over 15-24 April, in order to test the border-crossing procedures with military wheeled vehicles in Slovenia, Hungary and Romania as well as to check on the communications and information technology systems.

The Headquarters Multinational Division South-East (HQ MND SE) and the NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU) offered support throughout the exercise conduct on Romanian territory.

EAOV24 represented an important step forward with regard to interoperability, not only during the planning stage but also throughout the execution one. This exercise was a new example of collaboration among allies in the context of the simultaneous activities conducted by NATO in the region.
