Teodor Atanasiu, Minister of National Defence as part of the official delegation in Washington DC headed by President Traian Basescu met representatives from important companies to discuss cooperation programs for equipping the Armed Forces.

At AAI Corporation, Atanasiu talked on the possibility to continue the program of equipping the Romanian Armed Forces with reconnaissance Unmanned Airborne Vehicles (UAV).

The talks at Lockheed Martin Corporation were about the development of the air transport capacity by C-130 Hercules airplanes and the possibility to increase the radar coverage of the air space and the offers of the US corporations on multi-role airplanes.
