The Engineering Detachment Iraq IV deployed in Charlie camp in Al Hillah was visited on March 15, by Major General Waldemar Skrzypczak, commander of the Multinational Central-South Division to which the Romanian sub-unit is subordinated. Major Mihaita Cioboanca, PR officer of the Romanian contingent in Iraq declared that the General expressed his will to personally meet the Romanian Engineering soldiers because of the excellent reputation received from the coalition partners on their contribution to the transfer of security responsibility to Iraqi authorities.

The Polish commander expressed his conviction that the work our Engineers do now for the Iraqi Battalion deployed in Ad Diwaniyah is the most eloquent proof of the professionalism defining the entire activity the Romanians are developing in Iraq.
