Romanian soldiers of the Sfantul Andrei 300th Infantry Battalion from Galati in the theater of operations in Afghanistan were not affected by the two explosions that occurred this morning in Kandahar.

A Romanian patrol in amphibious armoured vehicles escorting a Romanian-American medical team participated in securing the areas where the explosions occurred. The Romanian soldiers applied the actions appropriate to this kind of situation and observed the orders they received from the 3rd Bronco US Brigade.

At the end of this operation the soldiers returned safely to the base.
