More then 2000 Iraqians benefit of drinking water

At the end of last week Major General Peter Jonathan Riley, commander of the Multinational South-East Division (MNDSE) evaluated a project of civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) recently ended by the 2nd Infantry battalion Calugareni, in Al Chabaish.

The project, worth USD 180,000, was financed by MNDSE and was an increase of about 13 km of water system in a town district with about 2,000 inhabitants.

According to the information provided by Captain Florea Carol, PR officer of the 2nd Infantry Battalion send, General Riley also saw, in the same location, a medical Romanian-Italian team assisting the local population.

Brigade General Giovani Borrini commander of the Italian Brigade Garibaldi to whom the Romanian Battalion is subordinated, also observed the Romanian soldiers at work.
