During the visit Wednesday, April 6, 05 in Hellenic Republic, the Minister of National Defence, Teodor Atanasiu will analyze with his counterpart Spilios Spiliotopoulos the evolution of the security environment in the South-Eastern Europe, the Balkans and the Black Sea area and the two countries participation in the political military cooperation initiatives.

The two ministers will approach the strategy of reform and modernization of the Romanian Armed Forces, the evolution of the bilateral military relations and the participation in the operations in the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan.

During the visit there will be meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Committee for Foreign Affairs and Defence of the Greek Parliament. Minister Atanasiu will lay a wreath at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in Athens.
