The 2nd Infantry Battalion Calugareni was visited by a military delegation headed by Major General Domenico Angelo Pacifici, deputy commander of the Iraq Multinational Corps.

Major Gabriel Munteanu, the 2nd Infantry Battalion deputy commander briefed the situation in the Romanian area of responsibility, the problems they are confronting with their missions and the operational capacities the unit has within the Italian Joint Task Force.

Captain Florea Carol, PR officer reported that the Italian guests visited Mittica camp, the church and the medical point. At the end of the meeting, General Pacifici stated: I am impressed by the Romanian soldiers professionalism, their kindness and hospitality. I was surprised by the staff officers' youth and expertise.
