Romanian military student remarked on an exercise at West Point

Marian Teodorescu, Romanian military student at the US Military Academy West Point succeeded in defeating a simulated information attack on a virtual US Army command center. He was born in Bucharest in 1981 and graduated the Military College Dimitrie Cantemir in Breaza in 2000. In the same year he took the exam at the Army Academy in Sibiu and placed 34th from 230 candidates.

After the end of the first year of studies, with an 8.22 mark, Teodorescu was selected after a competition, for attendance at the US Military Academy in West Point, New York.
The Romanian student together with 21 cadets successfully maintained the virtual command center for four days. The network, equipped with a data base, an Internet site, external and internal e-mail, simulated a control system used for the conflict areas through which the officers could overwatch the allied forces and the hostile forces in real time so that they could give appropriate orders.
