A delegation headed by Ioan Mircea Pascu, minister of National Defense will pay a working visit between May 24 and 25, 03 to the Romanian contingent in mission in Afghanistan.

In the theater of operations the delegation will meet the commander of the American Brigade having in subordination the 812th Infantry Battalion "Soimii Carpatilor" (Falcons of Carpathians) and will see the living conditions and the fulfillment of missions performed by our military. They will participate to combat preparations developed in trainingfield and to a mission "Village Team" type giving to the Afghani children the writing materials ensured by the foundation "Romania -The Next Generation".

Members of delegation are the presidents of the Commissions of Defense, National Security and Public Order of the Romanian Parliament, Mrs. Sergiu Nicolaescu and Razvan Ionescu and the chief of the Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Dr. Eugen Badalan.
