Major General Elyezer Shkedy, Israeli Air Force commander paid a visit to the Romanian Air Staff Thursday, June 2, 05 at the invitation of his counterpart Lieutenant General Gheorghe Catrina.

During the talks, General Catrina presented information on the present Romanian Air Force organization and structure; the perspectives and the priorities of the process of reform. They also talked on the development of the process of forming, training and improving personnel; the programs of modernization of aviation, air defence and radio-location, developed with Israeli industry support.

General Shkedy paid his first visit in Romania with an official after only two days as commander of the Israeli Air Force.
