A military delegation headed by General Dr. Mihail Popescu, chief of Romanian General Staff pays an official visit in Lithuania between May 27 and 30, 2003 invited by his counterpart Major General Jonas Kronkaitis, commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.

The official discussions in Vilnius will be focused on the cooperation between the two Armed Forces and the possible increase of the military bilateral relations, preparation for and participation to the activities organized within the Partnership for Peace and the peacekeeping missions.

In the same time there will be discussed the fulfillment of the objectives from the pre-joint and integration within NATO and the possible role of Romania and Lithuania within the Alliance.
