General Sir Michael Jackson, chief of Army Staff from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland pays an official visit in Romania between May 29 and 30, 03 invited by his Romanian counterpart Lieutenant General Eugen Badalan.

During the meetings with Ioan Mircea Pascu, minister of National Defense and Lieutenant General Eugen Badalan there will be discussed the issues on continuation of the counter-terrorism fight, Romania's contribution to peace support operations, reform of the Armed Forces having in view the joint to NATO.

General Sir Michael Jackson will also have the occasion to take part to a Romanian fighting unit training.
