Romanian and American soldiers will develop in common the ROMEX 05 training exercise between July 19 and August 2, 05 in Babadag shooting range and Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base.

1,500 US soldiers from the Army and Air Force Europe and 500 Romanian soldiers representing all the branches (Army, Air Force and Navy) and their equipment will participate in this exercise. The common training includes real shooting exercises, military actions in localities, escort of convoys, aviation training and the achievement of community projects in localities near the Babadag shooting range.

Thursday, July 7, at 11.00 hours at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base will occur a short statement of press on the beginning of the ROMEX 05 exercise. The Romex 05 Press Center will exist starting Sunday, July 10, 05 at Babadag shooting range where Major Daniel Anghel (0727-010.129) and Lieutenant Kristin Morrow (kristin.morrow@us.army.mil) will work. The Press Center can give additional details and accreditation for the media representatives for participation in the shooting range exercises and other activities planned thus:

- opening ceremony Tuesday, July 19;
- days of the press Monday, July 25 and Friday, July 29;
- closing ceremony Tuesday, august 2.
