''ODYSSEE 2003''

Between June 2 and July 23, 03 the training ship ''Constanta" having on board 60 students in the second and the third years at the Navy Academy ''Mircea cel Batran", 85 actors and Romanian and French technical staff, excepting the crew will participate to the international cultural project ''Odysee 2003". At the second edition, the project was initiated by the International Institute of the Mediterranean Theater (France) in cooperation with "Bulandra" Theater from Bucharest.

The travel in 2001 was a premiere in the history of the culture and the Romanian navigation. "Constanta" accosted 14 ports from 8 states in the Mediterranean - Pontic region integrating the performance "Les Ulysses" in a marvelous concert of arts associating the theater to multiple cultural events such as: exhibitions of photos, recitals of contemporary poems, choreographic moments, folklore shows, literary evenings and presentations of books, debates and round tables.

This year travel will include 17 ports from 12 countries inscribing the general orientation of the Romanian Armed Forces opened to the international values and representing the opportunity for the Navy to promote the image of the Romanian Armed Forces in the world and fulfilling the training of the crew for long missions and the summer training of the students.

Sunday June 1, 03 on board of the ship a press conference will be organized at 18.30-18.45 hours at Poarta 1, Constanta Port. After the press conference the actors will present their first performance for the Constantean public.
