Romanian Air Forces in NATO/PfP Cooperative Key 2005

A 55 troops detachment of the Romanian Air Force, three IAR 330 PUMA SOCAT helicopters and a C 130 Hercules, participate, during August 24 august September 5, 2005, in the NATO/PfP ExerciseCooperative Key 2005 that takes place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
The goal of the exercise is to exercise air and ground interoperability during crises response operations.

Cooperative Key 2005 gathered forces and equipment from NATO member states (Bulgaria, Canada, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, the USA, Turkey and Hungary), as well as PfP members (Albania, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Switzerland, Georgia, FYROM, Moldavia, Sweden and Ukraine) and Mediterranean Dialogue partners (Jordan and Mauritania). The Russian Federation sent observers.

The annual NATO/PfP Exercise Cooperative Key was conducted in Romania in 1996 and 2000.

Air Staff
