Red Scorpions trained the Afghani soldiers to fire with the infantry armament

A team of the 26th Infantry Battalion Neagoe Basarab acting in Afghanistan trained the Afghani soldiers from the 1st Kandak Battalion at request of the US side for firing with the 82 mm launcher and AG 9 grenade launcher. After a theoretical meeting and a demonstrative firing meeting performed by our soldiers the Afghani soldiers had the firings with the two categories of armament with good results.

The chief of the US training team, Lieutenant Colonel Samuel N Owens thanked to the Red Scorpions and handled them diplomas and badges. Without your help we couldn't fulfill this mission stated Owens because the US Armed Forces are not equipped with this type of armament.

At his turn, Lieutenant Colonel Gabriel Toma, commander of the Romanian soldiers expressed the disposal for future participation to such kind of missions that represent an opportunity for the 26th Infantry Battalion soldiers to show each time they are partners to be trusted.
