The National Defence Minister, Teodor Atanasiu, participates today at the opening of the school year at the Dimitrie Cantemir Military High School, in Breaza, Prahova County.

Minister Atanasiu urged the students to do their best in acquiring the necessary training as the future professionals that will have to face more and more complex missions.

The ceremony in Breaza included a religious mass, the 9th grade students being sworn into the army and the farewell speech of the former college commander Colonelul (R) Dorin Zamfir.

The new college commander, Colonel, Romulus Rosian, presented the minister the school, the living and recreation conditions of the military students.

This year, 433 students attend the classes of the military school.

The military high school was established in 1912, at the Dealu Monastery, only to be moved repeatedly, due to the hard times, in Iasi, Dorohoi, Targoviste, Predeal and Roman. Its present location in Breaza, since 1954, was the longest and most stable in its history.

About 13,000 young students graduated from this school.
