The Red Scorpions help children in Romanian Dolj County

About 7,800 USD were collected by the troops of the 26th Infantry Battalion «Neagoe Basarab», deployed in Afghanistan, in an effort to contribute to the reconstruction of flood affected areas in Romania. According to Major Renato Nadolu, the PR Officer of The Red Scorpions, it was their wish that the money should be spent where it was needed most. This way, with the help of the local authorities and the colleagues left behind, a school was identified in Dolj County that was badly affected by the floods. The money thus collected will be used to repair the school.

We are far away from home, but we are Romanians and we feel it to be our duty to help our people in need. They are also concerned with our fate here and the threats we face. We saw schools and houses destroyed and children weeping. We have to help these kids, said Corporal Paul Fratila, one of the scorpions in Afghanistan.
