Today, was the last day of the consultations that took place during the week between representatives from NATO and the Ministry of National Defence on the Romania's contribution with troops to NATO forces.

According to NATO requirements based on Force Proposition 2006, our country's offer was established as well as Romania's contribution to the missions of the Alliance for the 2007-2014 period. The exact figures will be established in October in Brussels.

The NATO delegation participating in the consultations in Bucharest was headed by Rear admiral Carlton Jewett, from the Staff of the Allied Command for Transformation, while the Romanian one was led by Mr. Ovidiu Cocenescu, Chief of Strategic Planning in the Ministry of National Defence.
