„King Ferdinand” sets for „Active Endeavour”

Frigates „Mărășești” and „King Ferdinand” are conducting a common training program at the Black Sea during September 16 to 20. The training is part of the evaluation process of the frigate „King Ferdinand” in preparation of the two months participation in NATO mission „Active Endeavour” in the Mediterranean.

The two frigates will conduct missions of monitoring commercial traffic and repelling a small boat attack. There will also be a simulation of an air attack, refueling at sea, tow missions and communications.
The main goals of the maneuvers were training of the crews at NATO standards, improving crew cohesion and skills.
