Two NATO military aircraft took off today, by 11:30 a.m., from Otopeni International Airport to cargo to Germany the materials provided by the Romanian Armed Forces to the American victims of Katrina.The transports are made by C-130s Hercules belonging to Italian and Greek Air Forces.
The assistance, amounting to about 13 tons, includes 100 iso-thermic and 20 command tents.
Assistance from several NATO member countries are centralised in Germany and then sent to the affected areas in the U.S.A.
