About 140 troops have intervened today with 30 military vehicles in six counties to relief the floods victims and to limit the effects of the calamities.

A number of 62 military of the 10th Engineer Brigade, Braila, and 22 sailors of the Navy's River Component are repairing and consolidating the broken dam along Ialomita river, in the locality of Fratilesti.

An IAR 330 L helicopter from the 90th Air Transport Base took off at 11:00 a.m. to transport to Tuzla, Constanta County, the aids provided through the Stars for the flood victims humanitarian mission. The aids include clothes, food such as bread, cans, fruit etc. The same helicopter took off again by 04:00 p.m. to transport basic medicine, as well as two doctors and a nurse from the Elias Emergency University Hospital, who will deal with emergencies in the locality of Barbulesti. The helicopter crew is made up of lieutenant-commander Enache Binder Liviu, captain Sarbu Sorin and warrant officer Hurchi Constantin.
