On the occasion of the Romanian - Hungarian governments' joint meeting, to be held at Bucharest, October 20 21, the Foreign Affairs Ministers of the two countries will sign the Technical Agreement between the Ministry of National Defence of Romania and the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Hungary on the Hungarian Armed Forces air transport to the theatres of operations.

The document was proposed by the Hungarian side during the visit paid by State Secretary and Chief of the Department of Euro-Atlantic Integration and Defence Policy, Ion Mircea Plangu, in Hungary, 10-11 October, at the invitation of his counterpart, Bali Jozsef.

During their meeting, the two officials had extensive talks on the European Security and Defence Policy, on Romania's accession to the European Union, on the ways to enhance the bilateral military cooperation between the two countries.

State Secretary Plangu also had talks with the rector of Zrinyi Miklos National Defence University, Major General Prof. Dr. Szabo Miklos, and the Director of the Strategic Researches Center, Dr. Talas Peter.
