Ion Ioan, State Secretary and chief of Department for Armaments will handle Virtutea Militara Order in rank of Knight with signs of war to the 300th Infantry Battalion Sfantul Andrei from Galati, Tuesday, October 25, at 11.00 hours.

President Traian Basescu signed the decree conferring this Order for special results in training of forces, successfully missions of stabilization and re-construction in Afghanistan.

The 300th Infantry Battalion participated in Enduring Freedom mission in Afghanistan, this year between January and June. Among this unit soldiers, Sargent Narcis Sonei, post mortem risen in second Lieutenant rank, died in mission April 24, 2005
