Black Scorpions take care of an wounded Iraqi child

Today, during the patrol mission in Dhi Qar province, in the area of responsibility of the 20th Infantry Battalion Black Scorpions, an Iraqi family ask for help for their five years little boy. The boy was wounded few days ago by an hand made explosive device while playing with his brothers and sisters.

The Romanian patrol hospital attendant, Corporal Silviu Petrescu, gave the assistance to the boy, but the wound on his face was infected requiring a specialized intervention. The boy was transported to the Italian hospital in Mittica Camp and under the supervise of the Romanian doctor Major Misu Raileanu they acted to relief the pains, care the wound and give the antibiotics.

After few hours in hospital, the boy with his mother returned home, helped by the Black Scorpions. For a week, the Romania military hospital attendants in patrol mission on the route where the Iraqi family lives will continue to exam the little boy.

Now, the Black Scorpions acted for the second time in saving the life of an Iraqi child, the first was at the begging of October when they had a similar humanitarian intervention.
