Romanian Presence in Commanders Conference

A delegation headed by Colonel Gheorghe Calopareanu, chief of Crisis Management and Multinational Operations College participates in the Conference of NATO/PfP Training Centers in Salonic, Greece between November 21 and 24.

The Conference will be focused on educational and training policy and directives within NATO, role of PfP Training Centers within the Euro-Atlantic Partnership and the future cooperation and harmonization of educational activities within these Centers.

The College of Crisis Management and Multinational Operations was established in October 1, 2005 and the NATO/PfP Regional Training Center being subordinated to it. The College is an important unit within Carol I National Defence University, specialized in training the military and civilian personnel from Romania and other countries in: planning and leading of military actions, crisis management, special operations, fighting against terrorism or civil-military cooperation.

The courses in NATO/PfP Regional Training Center are only in English. Since the establishment in 1997, participants in these courses were 1843 military and civil personnel and 228 came from NATO and PfP member states.
