The ceremony of leaving in six months mission in Iraq for stabilization and reconstruction of this country within the Multinational Force will occur Wednesday, January 11, starting 10.30 hours, in the barracks of the 280th Infantry Battalion, Focsani (B-dul Bucuresti nr.3).

Minister of National Defence, Teodor Atanasiu, Chief of General Staff, General Dr. Eugen Badalan and representatives of local administration and military personnel from Focsani garrison will participate in this ceremony.

The soldiers from the 280th Infantry Battalion also participated in international missions in Kosovo (2002-03) and Afghanistan (2004). They are replacing in the Iraqi theater of operation their comrades from the 20th Infantry Battalion Black Scorpions from Craiova, in mission since August 2005.
