The 341st Infantry Battalion White Sharks, Constanta received the mandate of participation in Enduring Freedom operation from the 151st Infantry Battalion Black Wolfs in a ceremony occurred Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at the military base in Kandahar, Afghanistan. This occasion, the document of transfer of authority on the Romanian Battalion was signed by chief of staff of the 2nd Joint Operational Command , Brigade General Nicolae Roman and commander of the 173rd Airborne Brigade Baynnett, Colonel Kevin Owens.

Colonel Kevin Owens thanked to the Black Wolfs for the missions fulfilled and focused on his total trust in the White Sharks professionalism, capacity and will of action.

According to the information transmitted by the PR officer of the 341st Infantry Battalion, Lieutenant Alice Moldovan, the Romanian participation in the international effort for securing the peace and support of the Afghani nation for strengthening the democracy is unanimously appreciated.
