The eighth edition of the national awards of the review Gandirea militara romaneasca published by the General Staff will occur Monday, February 20, at 13.00 hours in the central hall of the Ministry of National Defense.

Military and civil personalities and MoND leaders are invited to participate in this ceremony.

The first issue of the review Gandirea militara romaneasca appeared in February 15, 1864 under the name Romania militara. In January 1, 1898 the publication became by Royal Decree the official review of the General Staff. During its existence the review was the host of exceptional theoretical papers of the Romanian armed forces leaders and the publication became the most important theoretical tool in supporting the development of the national military institution. Nowadays, the review is engaged in the process of transformation of the Romanian military body hosting theses, ideas and concepts, giving sense and substance to the new national military institution.

The national awards of this review are granted to the most precious conceptual theoretical and military science productions.
