During the opening ceremony of the International Conference Development of Infrastructures in the Black Sea Region in the New Euro-Atlantic Context General Dr. Eugen Badalan received the Medal for the military personality of the year 2005 granted by George C. Marshall Romania Association.

I receive the Medal in the name of the Romanian Armed Forces, the defense and security body of the country that in 2005 demonstrated, I thing, once again, they are able to participate in the combat against terrorism anywhere in the world, to ensure the international security and thus to increase Romania's level of security stated General Badalan.

During the Conference, the Chief of the General Staff had the scientific paper Marks of the Architecture of Security in the Black Sea Region. The manifestation occurred at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, organized by George C. Marshall Association Romania, the European Center for Studies of Security George C. Marshall (Garmish-Partenkirchen, Germany) and the embassies in Romania of the United States of America and Germany.
