Civil military cooperation and operations in the Western Balkans and Africa are the main themes on the working agenda of the Informal Reunion of Defense Ministers from the European Union member states organized in Innsbruck, Austria, between March 6 and 7, 2006. Minister of National Defense, Teodor Atanasiu is heading the Romanian delegation in this Reunion.

Ministers of Defense will have talks on the way the European Union can respond to a large spectrum of crisis, the EU current and future operations and the increase of capability required by the Union.

In the second day of the Reunion, minister Atanasiu has meetings with his Austrian counterpart Gunther Platter and the officials from the European Agency of Defense.
