Relieves for the Iraqi persons with locomotor disabilities distributed by the Romanian soldiers

The 280th Infantry Battalion soldiers distributed 100 mobile chairs for the population with locomotor disabilities at the hospital in Suq ash Shuyuk, within the civil-military cooperation missions.

With a population of 300000 inhabitants, Suq ash Shuyuk is the larger city in the Romanian area of responsibility confronting with problems of infrastructure and medical assistance. The city, stated Muhamad Kadhum, director of the hospital, receiving the medical materials , has a large part of the population needing special care. These chairs solve the situation because they are so necessary and we appreciate the gesture the Romanian soldiers made.

The materials were purchased from the founds of the international coalition and represent a first stage of a project focused on the sanitary system in the Romanian area of responsibility.
