A military delegation headed by General Lance L. Smith, commander of the Allied Command of Transformation and commander of the US Joint Forces Command will visit Romania between March 11 and 14, invited by General Dr. Eugen Badalan, chief of Romanian General Staff.

The official talks will focus on the process of transformation of the Romanian Armed Forces and the Romanian participation in international missions. They will also approach the Alliance process of transformation and security in the extended Black Sea region. The two high officials will also analyze the Romanians military relations.

General Smith will be received by the President of Romania, Traian Basescu and the president of the Commission for Defense, Public Order and National Security of the Chamber of Deputies, Mihai Stanisoara.

General Smith and General Badalan will have a press conference at the MoND HQ, Monday, March 3, starting 11.15 hours.
