State Secretary and chief of Department for Euro-Atlantic Integration and Defense Policy, Ion Mircea Plangu, in the last part of his visit in the United States met Ivan Doherty, director of programs of the National Democratic Institutes, representatives of RAND Corporation and John J. Hamre, president of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Washington Dc.

During the meeting at the National Democratic Institute they approached the democratic evolutions in the enlarged Black Sea region.

At RAND Corporation, one of the well known think tanks of USA, they focused on the security in nowadays world, including the Iranian crisis.

At CSIS meeting also participated Janusz Bugajski, director for Europe and they approached the aspects of security in the enlarged Black Sea region.
